Abstract


On the basis of the analysis of experience of scientific and pedagogical postgraduates' research work supervision in the creative environment of the current seminar the author discovers the mechanisms and principles of successful scientific cognition and young researches' scientific potential development. In the context of the competence-based approach the author analyses the activity of a seminar instructor, shows the role of his pedagogical and research competences and the significance of the seminar instructor's scientific and professional achievements for young researchers' development. The article gives the notion of scientific and pedagogical supervision as a prolonged invariant process of assistance and support to young researchers in their development as participants of the scientific seminar.
