Abstract


Aim. Analysis of the report of the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia as an act of political communication aimed at increasing citizens’ confidence in Russian parliamentarism in particular and the state as a whole. The realization of this goal predetermined the study of the initiative of State Duma members from the United Russia party on reports to voters.
Methodology. A content analysis of the United Russia deputies’ reports published in the media and the Internet in 2021 was carried out; a comparative analysis of the texts was carried out, which made it possible to identify similarities and differences in the topics and issues of the reports.
Results.
As a result of the content analysis, a number of contradictions in the content of reports and their presentation to voters were revealed, which, according to the author, is explained by the lack of regulation of this document.
Research implications. The proposals on the regulation of the content of the State Duma deputy’s report are formulated, the most significant topics necessary, from the author’s point of view, to be reflected in the report are identified.
