Abstract


The article is devoted to studying the problem of researching the educational process at special correctional schools of the 1st kind, in particular, the problem of deaf pupils’ coherent written language formation and development in the 7-9 grades. The development of this ability is based on the material of essays. The author defines the ways, means and techniques of teaching the pupils of correctional schools of the 1st kind to generate a coherent written text. The concepts of “coherent speech”, “complex semantic whole”, etc. are substantially investigated. It is proved that the application of a holistic approach in the course of training enables to prepare deaf seniors for independent life in society.
