Abstract |
||
This article is devoted to the system of motives and images of one of the central poems of Brodsky’s Christmas cycle. The main attention was focused on peculiarities of the artistic interaction of religious symbols and images of the everyday life spheres. The subject of analysis is also the composition of the text, its stylistic originality and functions of biblical allusions. Key generalizations concern the specific embodiment of convergent creative consciousness in Joseph Brodsky’s poetry which became a fundamental criterion of literary neotraditionalism. |
