Abstract |
||
This paper examines national and cultural peculiarities of phraseological units of lexical-phraseological field “Mental activity” by the example of semantic group «think»; investigates verbalization of speaker’s attitude to the intellectual process and the work of the human mind with language means of English,. Certain groups of idioms that reflect different aspects of human mental activity are highlighted. It is proved that the feature of verbalization of the investigated conceptual segment by representatives of the Anglo-American linguistic culture is in considering thought to be an active and involuntary process. |
