Abstract


The article discusses the features of the lexical part of speech as a component of preschool children’s communicative skills. The author presents the assessment results of the children’s vocabulary (only those who study in the system of coeducation) basing on the method of associative chains. The conducted research allowed to reveal that there is an interdependence between the reduction of the communicative functions of speech and the lack of preschool children’s vocabulary development. It is established that the verbal communication disorder is a consequence of the lack of language means development.
