In this work the author examines the transformation of the Russian-German humanitarian relations at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries and marks three main periods of this cooperation. The main characteristics in developing and strengthening of Russian-German cooperation in such spheres as science, education and culture are also demonstrated. The author comes to the conclusion that Russian-German humanitarian relations can constantly develop thanks to the mutual support both of the government and civil society.
