Abstract


This article is devoted to the study of national German, English and Russian food traditions through the prism of cultural linguistics. The article presents a comparative analysis of phraseological units of the German, English and Russian languages with the substantive component, indicating food, courses and drinks. Phraseological units containing such a “gastronomic” component reflect the whole nation’s worldview, the characteristic features of the linguistic personality and mentality, which determines the choice of the research subject in this article.
