Abstract |
||
This article analyzes the modern interpretation of one of the most complex and mysterious literary characters. Pechorin takes an extraordinary position in the Russian literature, thanks to inherent inexplicable attractiveness, which always turned a disturbing impact on the literary-critical thought. The phenomenon of Pechorin’s seduction (spreading on both characters of the novel and its readers) defines one of the vectors of modern studies that try to achieve the goal through involving psychoanalytic, cultural-characterological and typological methods. Another vector of studying the character is still the mystery connected with his ambivalence to which modern literary criticism tries to pick up the keys by using semiotics and narratology. |
