Abstract

Studying the image of Russia abroad is a sufficiently developed problem in modern political science. Much less researches are devoted to the issue of Russia’s image in the minds of its citizens. This problem is dominant in this article. Among the factors that determine perception, the authors chose three characteristics of the subject: gender, age, education. On the basis of the studies conducted in 2014–2016 it was concluded that gender identity affects the images consciousness and emotional perception of Russia. Age identity influences the perception of power, considering it as one of the components of the country image. Higher education is not reckoned to be an important factor of perception.

Key words
