Abstract |

|
The article is focused on the origin of a very peculiar social and cultural phenomenon of the 18th century – Russian emigrants abroad. The author examines facts of non-motivated sojourn over a long period of time which was connected with education, visiting health resorts, journeys and cases when Russian people found themselves abroad by vicissitude of fate. |
