The paper is devoted to the question of secondary nomination of a person in the Russian language. The article describes the basic cultural codes, representing the secondary nominations of the person. As an illustration phraseological units, representing the external and internal qualities of the person with a positive and negative evaluation in the Russian-speaking space, were analyzed. The analysis of the extensive material of dictionaries enables to conclude about the relevance of metaphorical transfers of the following type: «flora → person», «fauna → person». As a result, the author concludes about basic cultural codes in the Russian language worldview.

Key words

secondary nomination, cultural code, metaphor, comparison, language worldview
