The paper considers the institutional structure of the “rear support” of information and ideological warfare. The main elements of the institutional structure are official ideology of society/state, political communication between the ruling class and the subjects, education system, and research organizations. Main contradictions and difficulties arising in the process of the rear support of an information and ideological war inherent in modern Russian society are discussed. The obtained results make it possible to conclude that the rear support of information and ideological warfare in Russia requires targeted systematical measures to eliminate the existing problems.

Key words
